The MSc Food Science provides opportunities to work on real-world projects like product development, which was a key highlight for me.

I've always been passionate about the forensics side of policing. I used to watch crime documentaries when I was younger with my family, and being at the University of Surrey, doing exactly what I watched on the TV when I was younger, is truly amazing. 

My course involves practical elements, such as the basics of crime scene management as well as lifting fingerprints in various ways. I enjoy this as I can apply what I've learnt in lectures and seminars which deepens my understanding of the topics covered. 

The state-of-the-art simulation suites allowed me to practise and refine my skills in a realistic, supportive environment. Having access to such advanced facilities played a huge role in my development as a midwife, and it's one of the things that made my experience at Surrey so rewarding." 

My elective placement abroad in Bali, Indonesia was hands-down one of the best life experiences I've ever had! I was very fortunate that the University supported me in going and it was one of the best things about my course.

In the third year, we undertook a real-time simulation event, where the Health Sciences building was turned into a hospital and ambulance receiving bay. The day was superbly run to make it as realistic as possible and it was a wonderful culmination of three years of study.
