In the first couple of months I was collaborating with fellow researchers developing the Surrey Arts and Humanities Research Group where I did my first talk at Surrey

Surrey has allowed me to construct a formidable presence in the employment world.

The academic staff include some of the leading figures in mobile communications who are known all over the world.

There’s a big international student presence at Surrey which has given me an appreciation for different cultures. I have met some amazing people and made friends for life.

While on placement, I’ve become more confident in myself from dealing with a lot of different people, both internally and externally.

I was impressed by the fact that the university is well established in the world for its close research cooperation with business. The university's ambition to create a tech hub in Guilford inspired me too.
