The University of Surrey is a place where you get to experience more than you can be offered elsewhere.

I had the chance to apply to this brilliant university that was right on my doorstep, and it would have been unforgivable not to snatch up the opportunity, which is why Surrey was my first choice!

Surrey has high student satisfaction and a great Law School. For an aspiring lawyer this was a great mix, as I knew I'd be in an environment where I could flourish academically but also be emotionally supported. At Surrey I believed I would find this - and I have! 

One of my best moments so far was submitting my paper for review for the first time. Even though it was just the submission, it felt like a true academic milestone had been achieved.

I would absolutely recommend a placement year to anyone that has the opportunity to do one. Not only does the placement year help you learn and grow as a person, but it truly helps you in figuring out what you want to do after university.

I was always determined to go study abroad and the main reason I choose Surrey was because of the study abroad option and the vast number of universities I could pick from.

My lecturers completely love what they do; they don’t just want to teach you, but give you their ‘all’ in the subject.

I’ve had so many amazing experiences... winning the Autumn Star Employability Award 2022 has been one of my greatest moments and made me recognise how far I’ve come.
