Training variations of components

I was part of the Surrey/ICE Scholarship scheme. This meant that at the time of joining Mott MacDonald as a graduate civil engineer, I’d already had 16 months of experience there. Without that scheme and the links Surrey has with industry, I don’t think I’d be sitting in this job today!

Prior to GSA, I was unaware of the value of formal acting training and the benefits of building a solid technique. GSA helped me to collate a personalized actor’s toolbox specific to my needs as a performer and for this, I am extremely grateful. I feel that I left GSA a much more well-rounded and consistent performer than when I entered.

The thing that attracted me most to GSA was the sense of community within the School. There was a much friendlier atmosphere at the audition stage, compared to other schools, it felt like my presence at the audition was valued.

The staff on my course are brilliant. The literature academics and creative writers know their areas so well and are excited to share and build their knowledge with their students.

My project aims to evaluate the existence of a circadian clock in vascular pericytes, mural cells whose role is to support and enhance vascular function of endothelial cells in capillaries.

The opportunities that have been presented to me during my time have been enriching, the students and lecturers I’ve met have been inspirational, and the sheer amount of personal growth I’ve made over the years makes me smile.

My project looks at inequality in higher education, specifically how students interpret university rankings and how these can favour the support of a hierarchical society.
