I attended an Open Day and knew straight away that this was where I wanted to be. I really appreciated how welcoming and safe Surrey’s campus felt – I got a real sense of community and belonging.

Surrey Law School is one of the best communities to be part of: the staff are all so friendly, welcoming and supportive, it feels like a home away from home.

I’m passionate about the Creative Music Technology course because it’s so unique. It has taught me to think outside the box and has challenged me to compose within genres of music I didn’t even know about three years ago".

What appealed to me most about Surrey was the tranquil environment on campus. I was born and bred in Hong Kong, where you can’t escape the hustle and bustle, and unstable political environment. The only thing I wanted to focus on were my passions - music, singing and always exploring. 

Doing a foundation year has been so beneficial. I have gone into the first year of my Adult Nursing BSc with so much knowledge, a newfound confidence and the ability to support other students in my cohort.

I’ve been offered a job from my placement for when I graduate next year!

Surrey has great employability ratings for graduates and it was a good location for me. I also liked the layout and feel of the campus, I knew I would be comfortable and feel safe.

I've had the privilege of making friends that I now consider as close as family, and I'm grateful to Surrey for providing me with the chance to continually connect with new people.
