Impact and knowledge exchange
Our School is committed to collaborating with commercial partners in order to advance the impact of our research. We continuously promote technology transfer and commercialisation of our research outcomes through IP, licensing and establishing spin-out companies. By doing this, we are able to contribute directly to knowledge exchange and the economy, both in the UK and globally.
Facilities
We have outstanding laboratory facilities where our researchers undertake a wide range of theoretical and experimental work, including our experimental nuclear physics detectors, high performance computing (HPC) clusters, microscopes and spectrometers, nuclear magnetic resonance imaging facilities, and state-of-the-art laboratories for soft matter research and characterisation.
