Towards a caring and healthy society research
Surrey's impact projects in this area investigate the social, economic, and environmental factors that affect the well-being of individuals and communities. They examine how elements like healthcare access, social support systems, education, and community engagement interact to cultivate a culture of care and health.
Key focus areas include healthcare accessibility, mental health and well-being, and the social determinants of health, which analyse how factors such as income, education, housing, and employment influence health outcomes and contribute to systemic inequalities. By facilitating community and policy engagement community engagement our projects are developing evidence-based strategies and interventions to enhance social cohesion, promote health equity, and create a more supportive and healthy environment for all.
