Surrey Hatchery
The Surrey Hatchery, managed by Surrey Business School, is a student-focused Business Incubator designed to nurture and empower entrepreneurial talent to develop promising business concepts into thriving ventures.
Whether you have just an idea, a desire to develop one, or an already established business venture, we provide the expertise and support needed to reach your next milestone— either it is a validated MVP, a functional business model, company registration, IP protection, sales, or growth.
The Surrey Hatchery is the first step in a practical entrepreneurial journey. It not only complements the curriculum but also extends beyond it, fostering industry engagement and networking through our Founders Circle.
Our team, along with external Entrepreneurial Mentors, brings valuable experience offering tailored guidance to help ventures take off. Through hands-on experimentation, entrepreneurial thinking, and innovation, we empower student founders to navigate real-world challenges and gain essential first-hand exposure to the complexities of entrepreneurship.
Our offering includes:
- Dedicated creative space for independent work;
- Online tools and resources;
- Regular workshops (on the topics such as Creativity & Idea Generation; Value Proposition, MVP design, Business Modelling, Sales, Financial Management, Scaling strategies, and many more);
- Access to the Founders Circle for the specialised advice and mentoring opportunities;
- Networking opportunities;
- Pitching practice.
- Pitching for investment.
