Leadership Academy

Tracking upcoming risks and opportunities that will influence your business, or organisation can be the difference between success and failure. Whether it’s consumer marketing trends, proposed HR legislation, artificial intelligence, blockchain, international market dynamics or wider technological developments – understanding how these developments may affect you makes horizon scanning a vital part of strategic thinking.

One of the key challenges for any organisation is filtering relevant information, bringing together insights from impartial sources and accessing a dynamic, trusted evidence base. The Leadership Academy, organised by the internationally renowned Surrey Business School, has been designed to provide this.

Who is it for?

As a carefully curated, invitation-only group, our roundtable forums provide a platform to discuss the most pressing challenges facing businesses today—challenges that resonate across industries and organisations, regardless of size or sector. At Surrey Business School, we are deeply committed to researching these critical issues and fostering a dynamic forum for peer-to-peer discussion and collaboration. Together, we aim to explore innovative solutions and uncover new opportunities for growth and success.

When is the forum?

The Leadership Academy meets four times a year: in February, May, September, and November.

Sessions begin with a welcome reception at 6:30 pm at our Lakeside Restaurant. Each session features a presentation from leading SBS academics, sharing insights into developments, trends, and future indicators across various business environments. This is followed by a dynamic group discussion, where participants can engage directly with the presenters and take part in a facilitated peer-to-peer exchange.
