My practice modules help me improve the care and service I provide to my patients and I can channel the situations I encounter at work into meaningful reflective experiences.

The teaching staff are very approachable, knowledgeable and supportive. They’re always keen to provide me and my peers with valuable learning experiences.

A huge benefit of the course is how flexible it is. I’ve got 2-5 years to complete all my modules, which makes it manageable alongside my other commitments.

The modules on the course have covered varying topics, with my favourites focusing on advanced assessment, clinical reasoning, critical care, and independent/supplementary prescribing (V300).

My time at Surrey has made me a more confident and competent nurse. I can now prescribe medications to patients, which is incredibly empowering, as other nurses now come to me instead of junior doctors.

I previously completed an independent/supplementary prescribing (V300) module at Surrey, so knew first-hand that the teaching was excellent. The course is also well known within my trust, which is connected to Surrey.
