2024We launched our Professional Legal Practice (SQE Pathway) LLM in September 2024 and we're delighted to have this report in from Shanthia, one of our students, to describe her first impressions!
My current university experience is more than I expected when I joined Surrey. I have already built such great relationships with my peers and lecturers. Surrey School of Law is a welcoming team that values everyone.
One month in, as most masters students do, I already feel the stress and intensity of my programme. However, through attending my classes and getting genuine encouragement from my lecturers, law is definitely more enjoyable. I feel like I am already working as a solicitor since the course is very practical and real. The course is built in a way that will enhance my skills. It's very different from undergraduate level and it's a practical course that really gets you thinking. Classes are never dull - I genuinely look forward to them!
I am extremely happy doing this course. We complete a module a month, and revision is fun and exciting!
You will always have your lecturers supporting you and guiding you throughout your legal studies, so you will always feel secure here at Surrey - that's how I feel.
I am very content with my decision to further my studies by completing my LLM with SQE 1 at the University of Surrey and I HIGHLY recommend it!
