YOUR TIME AT SURREY

What attracted you to choose the University of Surrey and to study your course here?

I loved the grounds and the feel of a campus university.

What is your strongest memory of your time at Surrey?

One of my strongest memories is always spending time at the lake with my friends. A lot of our uni life was centred around the lake and the memories we made there.

What were the best things about your course?

I know it is weird to say but some of the assignments were really interesting as I could write about things I was really passionate about.

LIFE AFTER SURREY

What do you do now and what do you find most enjoyable about your work?

I am now a social media content creator/digital marketer living in Manchester. My job is so fun because I get to go out to clients and shoot content. My favourite highlights so far are being able to attend different race series and races as I love motorsports.

How did your time at Surrey help you choose what career to go into?

By studying media and communications I was able to cover a lot of topics, which helped me decide what area of media I wanted to go into for my career.

ADVICE TO FUTURE STUDENTS

What is your advice for students aspiring to work in your profession?

Make sure you research the field you want to go in. Extra courses and qualifications are always available if you feel like you need to update your knowledge or want to learn new things. Always try and find something you love and run with that.
