What do you like about your course and why?

I enjoy the multidisciplinary nature of this course. It seamlessly combines different subject areas, such as environmental science, economics and geography, highlighting their interconnectedness. 

 

This course provides you with interdisciplinary skills to tackle challenges within multiple sectors. Within each module, there is room to delve deeper into your interests through discussions in lectures, seminars and assignments. 

 

Our lecturer's dedication and passion show in their teaching approach and feedback, creating a supported learning environment. Our cohort size is also smaller, enabling greater individual attention.

What do you enjoy most about Surrey?

I enjoy the wide range of societies available. There is something for everyone. There are plenty of opportunities to network with people and to build connections for the future. The experiences and opportunities available offer a chance to make lasting friendships and to grow as an individual. 

What do you want to do when you graduate?

Once I graduate I would like to work in the financial sector with a focus on ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance). I aspire to make a meaningful, long-term impact on the green financial sector by merging my interest in sustainability with my analytical skills. 

Your advice to new students

For students thinking of studying this course, my advice is to first read through and understand the module descriptors. This will provide you with insight into the course and will help to familiarise yourself with key topics and concepts that will be covered, along with how you will be assessed. Approach the course with an open mind and be prepared to challenge the norms of today as this course encourages you to think critically and provides practical, real-world applications.
