Why did you choose to study your course at Surrey?

I chose to study the MSc in Pharmaceutical Sciences at Surrey because the course structure immediately stood out to me. With two intakes available each year, it provides valuable flexibility for postgraduate students. In addition, the course emphasises modern technology and innovative research, which aligns well with the rapid advancements in the pharmaceutical field. The opportunity to work with up-to-date techniques and tools was a key factor that motivated me to apply, as it promised a learning experience that is both relevant and practical.

What are the best things about Surrey and your course?

Moreover, the university provides a welcoming and inclusive environment, with modern facilities and a clear focus on supporting student development and wellbeing.

What are the best things about life here as a postgraduate student?

The campus is beautiful, with green spaces and a serene atmosphere that make it easy to focus on studies while still enjoying life outside of the classroom. I have also found the staff and students to be extremely approachable and supportive, which has made settling in and navigating postgraduate life much smoother.

What are your career plans?

After completing my MSc, I plan to pursue a research pathway and explore PhD opportunities in a related field. The comprehensive knowledge and practical experience I have gained during my time at Surrey have provided me with a solid foundation for further research, and I am eager to apply these in my future academic endeavours.

What advice do you have for students thinking of doing this course?

If you are considering this course, I would advise approaching it with a mindset open to both theoretical and practical learning. The programme is challenging yet highly rewarding, offering an excellent opportunity to develop your skills and deepen your understanding. 

Make good use of the resources available, from the facilities to the guidance of academic staff, who are extremely supportive and approachable. 

Most importantly, approach the course with curiosity and an open mind, as it provides a great platform to grow both academically and professionally.
