The networking aspect was incredible at Surrey – a lot of modules are shared between the three music courses, which allows for different connections to take place.

I like that my course pushes me to see the complex nature of media studies, which is really exciting.

I absolutely love the course. Due to the smaller cohort size we have excellent support from the staff and we all get to know each other well.

My research project uses quantitative and qualitative research methods to investigate the construct of weight bias, exploring whether national obesity prevalence rates, personal exposure to obesity and weight normalisation, can predict weight bias, and much more.

A highlight of the placement has been getting the chance to become part of a scientific community and contribute to active research.

I wanted to come to Surrey because it was one of the only universities in the UK to focus on language learning for more “practical” situations.

The modules on the course have covered varying topics, with my favourites focusing on advanced assessment, clinical reasoning, critical care, and independent/supplementary prescribing (V300).
