My placements have been split between the South East Coast Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust, hospitals and the wider community. Having such a variety of placements has increased my confidence and knowledge, working with a wide range of clinicians in different environments." 

I’ve definitely changed since starting at Surrey, I’ve grown in confidence and am capable of achieving the things I want to accomplish in my professional life.

I get to practise what I’ve learnt in my lectures in the Clinical Simulation Centre, home to a fully-equipped ambulance, to build up my skills before going out on placement.

I have become more independent, I easily take on more responsibilities, blend into new teams and I have started to prepare myself for the future.

I have loved living at university, meeting friends and the culture. I am an international student, so it is very different to home, but I’m so happy I get to experience life in the UK.

Supporting a patient on placement to rebuild their life and change a pattern of acute hospital stays has given me so much hope and reaffirmed my belief that recovery is at the heart of what we do.
