Why did you choose to study your course at Surrey?

I chose to study at the University of Surrey because of its excellent reputation and high rankings in the field of finance, which reflect the quality of education and resources available. I was particularly drawn to the distinguished faculty, whose expertise and research in areas like Mergers & Acquisitions and Risk Management strongly align with my academic and career interests. 

The university’s focus on delivering practical knowledge and fostering innovation further solidified my decision, as it provides the ideal environment to gain advanced skills and insights necessary for success in international corporate finance.

What are the best things about Surrey and your course?

What are your career plans?

My career plan is to build a successful career in investment banking, where I can apply my skills and knowledge to drive strategic financial decisions and create value for clients. I am particularly interested in areas such as mergers and acquisitions, equity investments, and corporate finance advisory, as these align with my passion for analysing complex financial transactions and delivering innovative solutions.

What advice do you have for students thinking of doing this course?

For students considering the MSc in International Corporate Finance, my advice is to come prepared to immerse yourself in a highly engaging and challenging programme that equips you with both theoretical knowledge and practical skills. 

Take full advantage of the specialized modules, such as Derivative Securities, Quantitative Methods and Equity Investment, which are tailored to prepare you for the complexities of the finance industry.
