Enhanced Strategic Bid Development Support Programme
The University of Surrey is offering to support 15 future research leaders across a six-month period by providing a tailored programme of personal and professional career training, skills and development.
About the Programme
The Programme will offer nominees, from all career stages across all faculties, a bespoke one-to-one research bid and career development scheme. The Research Strategy team will work with the nominated researchers on the development and submission of a research proposal in a six-month timeframe, with some flexibility depending on call deadline.
Key focus areas
The Programme has two key focus areas:
- Provision of dedicated bid development support
- Nominee access to a tailored programme of personal and professional career training and skills development.
By mixing the cohort and utilising the experiences of successful researchers, we aim to maximise learning opportunities.
Through the Programme, we will identify and nurture key talent at all career stages, and diverse backgrounds, to enable them to secure the funding they need to achieve their research goals and career aspirations. By providing appropriate resources and skills development opportunities the Programme will enable successful outcomes for participants and so contribute to the University’s strategic objectives of focusing research intensity and making Surrey the place to start and grow a career.
