Integrating hydrological modelling and satellite data to inform crop field soil moisture
Start date
01 September 2020End date
31 March 2021Overview
This project brings together satellite-based meteorological data, terrain characteristics and hydrological modelling to simulate soil moisture at the plant root zone (not observable from satellite) in near-real time. This will provide the partner company, Mantle Labs, with a unique product for farmers and index-based crop insurance companies.
