Renewable Energy Integration into Vertical Farming for Sustainable Urban Food ProductionMy research is focused on modelling vertical farming systems integrated with renewable energy and optimising equipment to mitigate energy consumption as high energy usage in such systems is currently considered to be the largest obstacle in making vertical farming sustainable. My work will address this through using energy optimisation and techno-economic modelling (TEM) techniques.
