My research project
An exploration of the relationship between hybrid working and employee wellbeing. The mediating influence of need satisfaction and the moderating effects of personality traitsThis is an investigation of hybrid working, where employees work sometimes at home and sometimes in their usual office or place of work, and the relationship this practice has with employee wellbeing in a post-COVID workplace.
This study will analyse the relationship between employee wellbeing and hybrid working as well as the role that a person’s psychological needs play in this. In addition, the role of employee’s personalities in this relationship will be considered – do certain personality types help or hinder the relationship between hybrid working and wellbeing? A partner organization will be utilised to gather data for analysis in determining the strength and causality of these associations. In addition, there will be interviews carried out to dig down into the detail of the topics surveyed. As a result, the study will identify hybrid working practices with consideration of personality characteristics that support employee’s psychological needs and optimise their wellbeing.
