Professor Emma Mayhew

Biography
Emma Mayhew is a Professor of Pedagogy in Politics and the Associate Dean (Education) within the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences.
Before being appointed to this role she was the Academic Director of the multi award winning Electronic Management of Assessment Programme at the University of Reading. This major change work was designed to address delivery of end-to-end online assessment and the creation of a new assessment analytics dashboard.
Emma has also held a number of leadership roles over the course of 14 years within the School of Politics, Economics and International Relations at the University of Reading. This included School Director of Teaching and Learning and School Senior Tutor. During this time Emma engaged in a broad range of digital transformation projects, winning 8 internal and external teaching and research awards.
Outside the University, Emma has worked as an Associate at Advance HE delivering leadership, change and project management programmes within the sector.
Emma is a Principal Fellow of the HEA, and a National Teaching Fellow.
