About
My research project
An investigation into when and why the intuitive method of dual-process theories leads to post-choice satisfaction in real-world situationsMy research focuses on looking at intuitive decision making, specifically in the context of real-world choices. Dual-process theories of decision making argue that there are two systems of decision making, System 1 (intuitive, fast) and System 2 (deliberative, slow). One view within decision making believes that using System 2 is often the optimal way to make choices. I hope to look at situations where System 1 turns out to be the better method and find out when and why this occurs.
