Working at the Event Safety and Security Summit (E3S)
Three of second year BSc (Hons) International Events Management students Phoebe Sek, Yolanda Yip and Rachael Bailey, worked at E3S 2018 organised by the International Live Music Conference (ILMC) at the Congress Centre in London.
Having around 300 delegates from the events industry from around the world, presenting and sharing information to develop the best solutions across the industry and some security experts and services providers presenting the latest concepts and instruments associated to safety and security at events.
Phoebe, Yolanda and Rachael helped with the registering and welcoming delegates, mic running, as well as working with facial recognition machines to get the delegates’ lanyards ready.
Phoebe described the experience as a very valuable opportunity for them to learn and work at professional events. She was impressed at the facial recognition machine and thought it was very helpful with improving the security standard of events. She also enjoyed listening to experts talking about things related to live events that cannot be learnt in class.
