The Global Initiative on Ageing (GIA) and Longevity, Merck KGaA, and Grupo Vértice Launch Caregiver E-Learning Courses

The Global Initiative on Ageing (GIA) and Longevity, Merck KGaA, and Grupo Vértice, have launched a series of online E-learning courses designed to meet the diverse needs of informal caregivers.

Available in Spanish and English, the ten modules are backed by peer-reviewed research and offer professional guidance on a range of topics, from carrying out essential daily tasks like feeding, cooking and hygiene to managing interpersonal relationships, emotional well-being and financial management.

The modules were publicly launched this October in honour of European Carers Day and Family Caregiver Awareness Month in the U.S. in November.

The collaboration is intended to support the achievement of the United Nations Decade of Healthy Ageing and the Sustainable Development Goals by improving the standard of living, participation and inclusion of the world’s ageing population. For more information, click here.
