The University of Surrey works closely with the São Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP) to facilitate mobility and research collaborations between staff at the University of Surrey and in the State of São Paulo, Brazil.
Surrey’s partnership with FAPESP
Surrey’s partnership with FAPESP dates back to 2010. Our current cooperative agreement was signed in April 2022 and confirms our commitment to supporting joint research and knowledge exchange in the region for a further five years.
São Paulo Researchers in International Collaboration (SPRINT)
The SPRINT programme provides funding for staff mobility between the University of Surrey and Higher Education Institutions and Research Centres in the state of São Paulo in Brazil. Mobility must be linked to an active FAPESP research project. Collaborators are invited to apply for funds associated with travel including flights, accommodation and subsistence up to £6,000 from each partner per year over two-year projects.
FAPESP SPRINT calls will resume in Summer 2022.
