We are keen to support fellowship applications for talented applicants, some opportunities are listed below.
Branco Weiss Fellowship
Duration five years
If your project departs from the mainstream of research in your discipline and you are “keen on engaging in a dialogue across your particular discipline”, e.g. astronomy outreach and/or data visualisation.
Dorothy Hodgkin Fellowship
Duration five years
This scheme offers you the opportunity to hold appointments on a part-time basis or convert from full-time to part-time and back again to help match work and other commitments, such as parental or caring responsibilities etc.” and is for people with less than 6 years of postdoctoral experience.
EPSRC postdoctoral fellowship
Duration up to three years
This fellowship is for those who have a PhD or at least four years experience in a relevant field, with the project using one or a combination of discovery science, innovation, instrumentation and technique development, or software engineering.
Ernest Rutherford Fellowship
Duration five years
The scheme seeks to enable early career researchers, with clear leadership potential, to establish a strong, independent research programme. They will encourage talented researchers in UK universities to remain in the country and at the same time attract outstanding overseas researchers to the UK.
Future Leaders Fellowship
Duration four and three years
The UKRI scheme aims to help the next generation of researchers, tech entrepreneurs, business leaders and innovators get the support they need to develop their careers. The scheme is open to the best researchers and innovators from around the world, ensuring the UK continues to attract the most exceptional talent wherever they may come from.
Leverhulme Trust Early Career Fellowships
Duration three years
This is for early career researchers, with a research record but who have not yet held a full-time permanent academic post, to undertake a significant piece of publishable work.
Marie Sklodowska-Curie Actions Fellowship
Duration two years
This fellowship helps support researchers of all ages and nationalities at any stage of their career.
Newton International Fellowship
Duration two years
For non-UK scientists who are at an early stage of their research career and wish to conduct research in the UK.

The scheme seeks to fund new high-quality research and support the development and training of postdoctoral researchers in the field of theoretical physics, with additional training on public engagement and scientific communication.
