Stella Schroeder
Researcher, University of Bio-Bio, Chile
Biography
Stella Schroeder is a geographer from Germany with focus on cities and MSc in Urban Development and Design. PhD candidate in Urbanism and researcher at the University of Bio-Bio in Concepción, Chile. Academic teacher at architectural schools in Peru and Chile. Her research interests include sustainable urban and social justice planning, urban informality and co-production of cities.
Dr Abhijith Kooloth Valappil
Research Fellow, Global Centre for Clean Air Research, University of Surrey
Biography
Abhijith Kooloth Valappil is a research fellow at GCARE, University of Surrey. He has a PhD in Civil and Environmental Engineering on reducing air pollution exposure in microenvironments using Green Infrastructure. He has considerable experience in assessing the effectiveness of GI in reducing air pollution exposure in near-road environments and has developed practical implementation guidelines on green infrastructure for exposure mitigation for citizens and public authorities. He and the CO-GREEN project team are currently assessing the multi-benefits of GI interventions at Sandfield School, Guildford.
