Professor Rakesh Mishra

Biography
Professor Rakesh Mishra leads Energy Emission and the Environment research group within the school of Computing and Engineering, at the University of Huddersfield. Professor Mishra is also a co-director of Centre for Thermo-fluids, Energy Systems and High-Performance Computing at the University of Huddersfield.
Professor Mishra is an active consultant to many Thermo-fluid industries and has run several knowledge transfer partnerships successfully. He is currently involved with several projects including EPSRC, STFC and Innovate UK projects. Professor Mishra is very active in renewable energy research and is involved with many renewable energy organizations. Developments of digital twins of various physical systems is currently one of the major research areas that Professor Mishra is focussing on.
Dr Richard Baldauf

Biography
Dr Baldauf has over 20 years of experience conducting research on emissions, air quality impacts, and adverse health effects from exposures to air pollution emitted by transportation sources. His research focuses on the development of policies and practices to mitigate air pollution emissions and impacts at local, urban, and global scales.
He works for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s Office of Research and Development where he leads cross-disciplinary research teams focusing on air quality measurements, air dispersion modelling, and sustainable urban development. He also maintains Adjunct Professor appointments at North Carolina State and Texas A&M University in the US.
Dr Baldauf will present on his research investigating how urban green infrastructure affects air pollution, especially in communities located near large roadways and other ground-level air pollution sources.
