As a graduate from the University of Surrey, you are entitled to careers support up to three years after you complete your studies and lifetime access to Surrey Pathfinder, your digital hub giving you 24-hour access for careers appointments and event bookings, jobs and interactive development tools.

To continue to access our services, you will need to update your Surrey Pathfinder account to alumni status. During this process you will need to enter your student number and a non-university email address.

CV, application and interview support

We offer one-to-one sessions to provide you with advice for your application and interview, from our team of professionally qualified careers advisers.

One-to-one appointments

We offer a range of one to one tailored appointment for you to speak to a trained member of staff, from helping you to develop a career plan, to CV writing, job hunting and completing applications our team can help with your careers query. You can book an appointment on Surrey Pathfinder.

You are entitled to a maximum of one appointment per working week (this does not include information sessions). If you are not based in the local area, telephone appointments are available to you.

Mock interview practice

We conduct mock interviews to give you an opportunity to practise your interview skills. This includes practice answers to typical interview questions and constructive feedback. 

Personality and psychometric tests

Some employers will ask you to complete personality and psychometric tests as part of an application to see if you match the values and motivations of the roles you are applying for. These are assessment techniques designed to measure a range of human characteristics including aptitude, personality, numeracy, interests and values. We offer a package of online mock tests to provide you an in-depth analysis to prepare you for future applications.
