Global health challenges

This research theme aims to make theoretical and practical contributions to the fields of management, social innovation and medical humanities grounded in the needs, values and priorities of socially excluded communities affected by global health problems.

Overview

With the world facing grand challenges such as antimicrobial resistance and more recently global pandemics, consumers and other stakeholders increasingly expect firms and governments to take responsibility for their actions. This research theme takes a social innovation perspective (the development of new ideas that benefit society as a whole rather than private individuals) to investigate how individual and organizational factors can help, or hinder, tackling global challenges in socially excluded contexts.

Research projects
