University of Surrey Website Survey 2023 (“Prize Draw”) Prize Draw terms and conditions for Surrey students

  1. This Prize Draw is being promoted by the University of Surrey, Stag Hill, Guildford Surrey, GU2 7XH (“the University”).
  2. The Prize Draw is open to all prospective students of the University except employees of the University, their families, agents or any third party directly associated with administration of the Prize Draw (“Entrants”).
  3. The Prize Draw is free to enter and no purchase is necessary nor does an Entrant have to accept a place at the University or be a student at the University to be eligible.
  4. Entrants under 18 must get consent from their parent(s) or legal guardian(s) before entering. The parent(s) or legal guardian(s) of Entrants under 18 agree to these Terms and Conditions on behalf of the Entrant.
  5. To enter the Prize Draw, Entrants must complete the survey at https://cyberduck.typeform.com/to/FXUDbb0l by the closing date. Only one entry per person is permitted.
  6. The opening date for entries is 00:00 on 1 April 2023. The closing date of the survey is 23:59 on 30 April 2023. Entries received after the closing date will not be counted. 
  7. The first 51 Entrants to complete the survey will be entered into the Prize Draw. Subsequent Entrants will not be entered into the Prize Draw.
  8. The University accepts no responsibility for entries not successfully completed due to a technical fault of any kind.
  9. Members of the University’s Digital Team, supervised by an independent person, will conduct the Prize Draw and randomly select 50 prize winners.
  10. The winners will each receive a £10 Amazon voucher in electronic form. There are 50 prizes available. The winners will be notified by email or telephone (using details provided at entry) before 15 May 2023. Prizes will be emailed to the address provided at the same time. 
  11. The prizes for the winners are non-exchangeable, non-transferable and no cash alternative is offered.
  12. The University reserves the right to replace the prizes with an alternative prize of equal or higher value if circumstances beyond the University's control makes it necessary to do so.
  13. The decision of the University regarding any aspect of the Prize Draw is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into about it.
  14. Entrants are deemed to have accepted and agreed to be bound by these terms and conditions upon entry. The University reserves the right to refuse entry, or refuse to award the prize to anyone in breach of these terms and conditions.
  15. The University reserves the right to hold void, cancel, suspend, or amend the Prize Draw where it becomes necessary to do so.
  16. Personal data supplied during the course of this promotion will only be processed as set out in the University's Prospective student privacy notice | University of Surrey. By entering, you agree that any personal information provided by you with your entry may be held and used by the University or its agents and suppliers to administer the Prize Draw.
  17. These terms and conditions and this Prize Draw are governed by English law. If any Entrants to this Prize Draw wish to take court proceedings, then they must do this within the courts in the United Kingdom.

Interview Terms and Conditions

  1. After conclusion of the Prize Draw, the University may contact a number of Entrants to participate in an interview, with the University or a third party appointed by the University, regarding the University’s website. Only those Entrants who consented to be contacted regarding an interview will be contacted.
  2. The University will select a cross-section of Entrants to participate in an interview. Consent to be contacted regarding an interview does not automatically mean that an Entrant will be contacted or selected. 
  3. All Entrants who complete the survey and consent to be contacted are eligible to be selected for an interview, regardless as to whether or not they were eligible for the Prize Draw.
  4. If an Entrant participates in an interview then they will receive a £30 Amazon voucher in electronic form as compensation for their time. Vouchers will be emailed to Entrants within ten days after their interview to the email address provided with their entry.
  5. The vouchers for interviewees are non-exchangeable, non-transferable and no cash alternative is offered.
  6. The University reserves the right to replace the Amazon voucher with an alternative voucher of equal or higher value if circumstances beyond the University's control makes it necessary to do so.
  7. The University reserves the right to hold, void, cancel, suspend, or amend the interviews where it becomes necessary to do so.
