STAR Hub membership applications privacy notice
STARt Healthy, Stay Healthy (STAR) Hub – Aligning Public and Planetary Health Through Precision Plant-Based Dietary Solutions across the Life-course.
The STAR Hub network is a UKRI Diet and Health Open Innovation Research Club – funded by the Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council (BBSRC) - that promotes collaborations between industry and academia.
In order to participate in these activities and to apply for Business Interaction Vouchers, Feasibility Awards and/or Flexible Mobility Awards, you need to become a member of the network. Please read this privacy notice prior to submitting your membership application.
Under UK data protection legislation we are only allowed to collect the minimum amount of personal data that we need to carry out a specific purpose. The data we hold and process about you is the following.
STAR Hub team holds and processes the following personal data about its members:
- Your name
- Email address
- Department
- Position in organisation
- Organisation name
- Type of organisation
- Region in which organisation is based
- Primary area of expertise
- Reason for joining the hub.
We receive this data from you when you:
- Complete the STAR Hub membership form.
We take our obligations for handling your data very seriously and it is therefore important for you to know that we process your personal data on the following legal bases:
When you become a member of the STAR Hub we ask for your consent when we collect your data specifically to provide you with updates on the latest STAR Hub activities and developments, including our Business Interaction Voucher, Feasibility Award and Flexible Mobility Award funding calls and network event.
Thus, we will be keeping your details provided with consent on our mailing list to send you the above-mentioned information.
