Throughout the year we run a series of engaging events from writing festivals and seminars to our annual Morag Morris poetry lecture, attracting leading contemporary poets to campus, such as Stephen Spender, Seamus Heaney, J.H. Prynne, Iain Sinclair and Barbara Hardy.

Seminar series
We run monthly seminars dedicated to Victorian and Neo-Victorian literature. Past seminars have included Lillian Nayder on "Dickens, flesh and blood" and Talia Schaffer on "The fortunate fall: ill writing and Sanditon".
