Start date

April 2024

End date

November 2024

Overview

The project aims to improve understanding of how small island developing states (SIDS) and small coastal nations can increase their tourism competitiveness post COVID-19 through more sustainable and resilient tourism practices. This will be achieved by developing knowledge, guidelines, and designing and implementing digitally delivered training to tourism MSMEs focused on creating easy pathways for tourism firms and their customers to embrace sustainable practices and behaviours while supporting innovation for enhancing the competitiveness of sustainable tourism in Cabo Verde, The Gambia and Sao Tome & Principe, and Guinea-Bissau. The guidelines will also be leveraged to create a sustainability self-assessment tool for tourism MSMEs.
