Executive function and internalizing problems in adolescents with and without developmental coordination disorder

Overview

We know that adolescents with DCD often have difficulties with high-level thinking abilities, such as planning and memory.  They also often report increased symptoms of anxiety and depression compared to others their age without the disorder. The current project aims to investigate this further by understanding how these difficulties may be related to each other in those with and without DCD.

We are recruiting adolescents aged 8-15 with/without a diagnosis of DCD/dyspraxia. For this project, we cannot include children with any secondary diagnoses. Participation will involve completing an online survey (both the adolescent, and one parent).
