Delivery resource sharing and the digital food court

In collaboration with Tappo Pay Ltd, this research project aims to conduct a feasibility study of the delivery resource sharing and digital food court model.

Start date

March 2021

End date

September 2021

Overview

The growing importance of food marketplaces and delivery platforms is evident but with high commission rates and unstable earnings in the gig economy, independent restaurants are highly pressured. In response, Tappo aims to provide digital solutions by sharing delivery resources between multiple restaurants and creating a digital food court, allowing users to order from multiple stores in the same order and delivery cost-effectively.

The project aims to conduct a feasibility study of the delivery resource sharing and digital food court model, which can significantly disrupt existing models of delivery businesses, beyond restaurants.
