Remembering Mike Banfield

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mike Banfield (BSc Eng Chemical & Process Engineering, 1958)

A proud alumnus of Battersea College of Technology (the forerunner institution to the University of Surrey), Mike helped established the Battersea Scholarship Fund to provide scholarships for talented students from a care background or estranged from their families, enabling them to study at Surrey.With the support of Mike's family, we are proud to accept gifts in Mike's memory to allow more students to benefit from his legacy.
