Yingrui Li
About
Biography
Yingrui is co-founder and chief scientist of iCarbonX. In 2006, he joined BGI Genomics and became chief scientist in 2010. As chief scientist he led the BGI research team to initiate and engage in a number of national projects, including the First Asian Genome Project, 1000 Genomes Project, Sino-Danish Diabetes Study and the Chinese Cancer Genomics Consortium. He has more than 130 papers published in high-impact journals including Nature, Science and Cell.
In 2015, Yingrui left BGI and co-founded iCarbonX, a new data-driven healthcare platform company, joining the force of machine learning and multiomics to model human health to predict and prevent diseases.
Yingrui was among the 2014, 2016, 2017 and 2018 Thomson-Reuters (now Clarivate) Highly Cited Researchers and one of the 2015 Forbes Asia 30 under 30 on Healthcare Sciences.
