About

Valentina Dedi is an economist, specialising in oil market developments, pricing, refining and policy. She has provided research support, including macroeconomic analysis, for projects in the global energy industry.

Valentina Dedi works as an Economist at Crystol Energy, an energy consultancy and advisory firm in the UK. She also teaches and mentors undergraduate and postgraduate students at the Economics Department of the University of Surrey, UK. She is currently completing her Ph.D. studies in Economics after being awarded the School of Economics Doctoral Studentship from the University of Surrey. She previously worked as an Associate at KBC Process Technology, focusing on crude oil market analysis.

Valentina sits on the Management Committee of “Access for Women in Energy”, a non-for-profit organisation, which aims to support the development of women in the energy industry globally. She has been actively involved in planning the group’s wide range of activities, including training, trade missions and regular discussions on topical energy matters.

She also acts as Deputy Head of the "Greek Energy Forum", where she overlooks the Forum’s operations in the UK and leads a number of projects, all aiming at contributing innovative proposals to catalyse the industry’s growth in the East Mediterranean region.

Valentina graduated with a distinction from the University of Surrey, with a master’s degree in Energy Economics and Policy. She also holds an Economics degree with distinction from the University of Patras, Greece.
