White and other? Perceptions of school climate among Polish children in the UKThis research project explores the experiences and perceptions of school climate of Polish pupils that attend a school in England. The study focuses on how these children negotiate their immigrant and ethnic identity in their school amidst the dramatic social and political context of post-Brexit Britain. The methodological design takes an ethnographic approach. Research methods include participant observation and a palette of collaborative methods, including drawings, photographs, and Persona Dolls.
Thi was awarded Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences Postgraduate Researcher of the Year for the 2022 Vice Chancellor's Award. Thi was also commended to the the Lewis Elton Award for Education Innovation by the Surrey Institute of Education and won the Outstanding Contribution to the PGR Experience by the Student's Union at the same year.
