Biography
Thi Bogossian (they/them) is an Associate Tutor at the University of Surrey. Thi's research interests are in the field of migration, education, social difference, identity, ethnicity, race, gender, sexuality, childhood, and participatory and creative methodologies.
Thi has an interdisciplinary background, with a PhD in Sociology from the University of Surrey and a master's degree in Adult Education for Social Change, awarded by a consortium between the University of Glasgow, University of Malta, Tallinn University, and Open University of Cyprus. They also hold a bachelor's and teaching degree in Geography from Fluminense Federal University (Brazil) and worked as Geography teacher in Brazil in secondary schools and community education settings for several years before pursuing postgraduate education.

I was also Graduate Teaching Assistant between 2019/2020 and 2023/2024, teaching modules including Researching the Social World: Qualitative Methods, Explaining Crime and Deviance, and Hate Crime
