Biography
Dr Tehmina Khan joined the School of Law at Surrey University in June 2021. Along with her teaching role and assisting with the Law Clinics, she is also the Senior Personal Tutor for the School of Law. Tehmina adjudicates on the Student Disciplinary Panel and sits on the EDI forum at Surrey. She qualified as a solicitor in 2000 specialising in immigration and criminal law. She was a Senior Law Lecturer on the Legal Practice Course at London Metropolitan University for 17 years. Tehmina is a commission member on the Football Association's National Serious cases and Regional Disciplinary Panel. In February 2022, she was appointed as a Magistrate. Her research interests include gender and race inequalities, forced marriage, teachers’ identities, generally addressing teaching and learning practices in education and responses to government policy in these areas.
