About
Biography
After an initial undergraduate degree in Physiology from the University of Manchester, I completed a Postgraduate Conversion Diploma in Psychology at London Metropolitan Univerity before going on to complete my Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at UCL. I then specialised in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy by completing a Postgraduate Diploma in CBT at the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology & Neuroscience, King's College London.
After working as a High-Intensity CBT Therapist in an NHS Talking Therapies for Anxiety and Depression (formally IAPT) service since its inception for four years, I joined the University of Surrey where I have now been since 2013. I am currently a Senior Lecturer in the School of Psychology.
I continue to work clinically part-time in the South London & Maudsley Foundation NHS Trust as a Clinical Psychologist. My roles include working as a High-Intensity therapist in an Inner London IAPT service, and as the Clinical Lead for the PEACS chronic pain project for the Mind and Body and Programme, part of the King's Health Partners.
