Biography
I joined the Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences as a Midwifery Lecturer in January 2022. Since qualifying as a midwife in 2001, I have worked in all areas of maternity care, including the coordination of labour ward/ integrated birth centre and a role in maternity quality and safety. My most recently role was as a Practice Development Midwife for Chelsea and Westminster NHS Trust working on the West Middlesex site primarily, this role included the education of all members of staff and collaboration with the placement facilitator for students. I completed my Masters in Advanced Practice- Healthcare Education in 2021, the dissertation was focussed on student experience of simulation-based education, other areas of interest include Newborn Life Support (NLS)and Examination of the Newborn (EON).
