Dr Pat Colliety
About
Biography
I have worked in public health and child health throughout my professional career. I am a NMC Visitor and an assessor for the UK Public Health Practitioner Registration Scheme.
I have worked on anti-bullying projects and I am currently involved in a project looking at school nurses' attitudes towards children and young people who bully. My work with the theatre studies project, which brings together child nursing students and theatre studies students in a style of forum theatre to explore ethical challenges in practice, continues. We are currently evaluating the impact on students' ethical decision making in the medium term.
I teach a range of modules on both the professional preparation programmes and the continuing professional development programmes. Subjects include research skills and supervision, public health, safeguarding children and adults and health policy.
