#CAMHS on TikTok: the perceived impact on young people's professional mental health help-seeking behaviourThis research project consists of two qualitative studies. The first study aims to explore how young people share their experiences of Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) in videos posted on the popular social-networking app TikTok. Young person co-researchers will be involved in the analysis.
The second study seeks to explore the perceived impact of these representations on young people's willingness to seek professional support for their mental health. We hope this knowledge will contribute to our understanding of barriers to young people accessing mental health care.
