Dr Maltika Siripis
About
Biography
Maltika is a Teaching Fellow at the University of Surrey, where she is also the interim Programme Leader for the MSc in International Tourism Management and the Dissertation Leader. Maltika was awarded a MSc in Tourism Planning and Development and a PhD in Tourism Management from University of Surrey. Before joining the SHTM, Maltika taught and led several modules in tourism management at one of the oldest universities in Thailand. She was also appointed as a member of Thailand Tourism Council’s Academic Committee. At Surrey, Maltika teaches various modules including Destination Management and Marketing and Strategic Tourism Management. Her research interests include the influence of popular media on destination marketing and tourist experiences and the development of experience-based tourism products in local communities to create new economic opportunities for local people and enhance tourist experience.
