My research project
Biodiversity and the built environment: reconciling organisational and project perspectivesI am working with Wates Group, one of the UK's leading construction, development and property services companies, to identify innovative ways to safeguard and enhance the natural environment. I am critically examining a number of emerging policies, toolkits and standards and investigating potential short, medium and long-term consequences of their adoption. These include the incoming biodiversity net gain requirement and its accompanying 'Metric 3.0'; the Construction Innovation Hub's 'Value Definition Toolkit' and the 'BREEAM' rating system.
