Teaching
I strongly believe that teaching and learning are not a 'one-size-fits-all' experiences. It is important to embrace the uniqueness of each individual student and find a langue of learning that works for them. As such, I feel that it is important to collect pedagogy, methods, and language from a wide range of sources. No longer should singing be about which practice is the best as a general pedagogy, but which practices are the best for each student. Presenting from a range of sources allows the student to pick and choose which practices they identify with most. I refer to this as 'multilingual training'. It is about empowering the student to take ownership of their learning and providing them with the tools that they need to succeed in achieving their goals.
